Getting Started With Your Software
Thank you for choosing Carveco!
The following guide is to help customers with a Carveco Account get up and running with their software as quickly as possible.
Carveco Accounts are currently only available to customers who have purchased their software via a Sales Partner, a Carveco sales agent, and those who receive their software with select machine tool partner purchases. The steps below will cover how to download, install, activate and manage your software.
1. Download Your Software
To download the software installer from your Carveco account:

8. FAQ’s
For Carveco Subscriptions (Maker, Maker Plus, Carveco)
Carveco (Maker, Maker Plus, Carveco) will need to be connected to the internet when you activate your subscription to allow for communication between your software and our licensing server. Afterwards, the software can run without an active internet connection for up to 21 days. The software will then need to reconnect to our licensing server, and check that your subscription is still active.
For most internet-connected customers with an active subscription, Carveco will seamlessly re-license itself in the background. But if your software is having trouble accessing our License server, the software will let you know.
For Perpetual Licenses (Maker Plus, Carveco)
Carveco Perpetual products will need an active internet connection for activating the license on your system. Following that you can happily run your perpetual product without an internet connection. The only exception to this rule would be when installing software updates. Communication with our licensing server will be necessary to check your license entitlements to verify eligibility to install future updates.
At Carveco, we don’t impose any limits on the number of computers you can install your Carveco software on. However, there are limits on how many active software instances you can use concurrently (at the same time). The number of concurrent licenses available to you will depend on which Carveco product you have licensed, either perpetually or on subscription.
If you wish to use your software on any additional computers, you will need to move/ migrate an active license from one computer to another.
This simple license migration process is outlined in this Help Centre post.
For example: a Carveco Maker user might install and activate a license on a home computer and then install and activate a license on a computer in their workshop. If the user then wishes to install and activate a license on a third computer, they will have to deactivate an installation on either of their existing machines. This will effectively ‘free-up’ a license that can then be used to activate their Carveco software on a third machine.
Carveco Product (perpetual and subscription) | Concurrently Allowed Licenses |
---|---|
Two Concurrent Licenses |

Two Concurrent Licenses |

One Concurrent License |
Subscription and perpetual product orders can easily be managed via the Carveco Account. Here you can also access all of your licensing information, billing details and purchase history.
If you belong to a company that has purchased software licenses for multiple users, you will need to have admin privileges to do this. If you do not the correct permissions, you will need to contact the designated person within your company to do this for you.
Alternatively, if you have more than one license in order to use the software on different machines at the same time, please ensure that you are using the Carveco Account with admin rights.
If you do not admin rights, you will still be able to see your subscription information but will not be able to amend your subscription or obtain any financial records associated with it.
For more help with your Carveco Account, you can visit our Help Centre by clicking here.
Carveco notifies users of any updates that become available, from within the Carveco software itself. Please click the link from the start page of your software to download any new releases that are available.
The update is also available to download, from the downloads tab via your Carveco Account.
Subscribers are always entitled to the latest updates we release.
You DO NOT have to install each update in order. You can update from any previous version of Carveco to the latest version available to you
Even if you decide not to continue with your Carveco software subscription, we’ll keep your Carveco Account active, so you can easily pick up right where you left off whenever you’re ready to return.
If you would like to delete your Carveco Account, please follow the steps outlined in our Help Centre support article: How do I delete my account.
If you want to change the product that you are on, for example, from Carveco Maker to Carveco Maker Plus, you can do this from inside your Carveco Account. If you have admin rights, you can easily click on the relevant product order in your transactions tab.

If you are a customer with a Carveco Account, you can continue to use your software without interruption unless you tell us to cancel your subscription or opt to remove your automatic renewal. What’s more, you can choose to manually renew your subscription at anytime from within your Carveco Account so long as the subscription is still active. Should your subscription expire however and you wish to rejoin, please place a new subscription order with Carveco’s direct sales agent or your local sales partner.
To see your subscription renewal details, simply go to your “My subscription Information” page.
Please Note: Only those with admin privileges will be able to amend subscription renewals with us.
