New Features

  • Generate with AI: The Generate with AI wizard has received a significant update, introducing new AI models alongside a refreshed user interface.
  • Advanced Relief Models: Two new models have been introduced that produce significantly better reliefs than the previous relief generation model — Fidelity, which reproduces the source image accurately, preserving its proportions, geometry and spatial relationships, and Forge, which reinterprets and enhances the source image as a sculpted form, introducing depth and shape where appropriate.
  • Improved Image Model: The image generation model has been upgraded to produce higher-quality images, with improved understanding of longer and more detailed prompts. The maximum prompt length has been increased from 500 to 2000 characters.
  • Tapered Ball Nose Tool: Added Tapered Ball Nose as a dedicated tool type, making it easier to identify and select in the tool database. It uses the same tool geometry as the existing Radiused Engraving tool type.
  • 3D View Improvements: Models in the 3D view now benefit from ambient occlusion and anti-aliasing, providing smoother edges and improved depth perception. Both are enabled by default and can be configured in 3D Graphics Options.

Improvements

  • Toolpath Simulation: Deleting a toolpath simulation no longer resets the 3D view, preserving the current viewing angle and zoom level.
  • Offset Clearance Strategy: Offset can now be used as the default Tool Clearance Strategy for 2D Area Clearance, Machine Relief, and Z-Level Roughing. The default strategy can be configured in the Options menu.
  • Fit Arcs to Vectors: The Tolerance setting is now available directly within the Fit Arcs to Vectors tool, rather than relying on the Global Tolerance setting.

Fixes

  • Feature Machining: Fixed an issue that could cause gouges in Feature Machining toolpaths.
  • 3D PDF Export: Fixed an issue that prevented Maker and Maker Plus users from exporting 3D PDFs.
  • Custom Form Tools: Fixed post processor output incorrectly displaying error text instead of the correct description for Custom Form Tools.
  • Inlay Wizard: Fixed layout issues in the Inlay Wizard.
  • Application Stability: Fixed various issues that could lead to crashes when calculating toolpaths, closing the software, loading certain files, using simulation, or dragging relief clipart into the side-on view.
